PC Pinkerton was 2D animated television series which was broadcast on CBBC during 1988. The series consisted of one series with Thirteen episodes, each lasting around 10 minutes.
A very gentle series with charming background art and calm music, PC Pinkerton nonetheless has mostly been forgotten. This may be due to it being rather out of place in the high energy late 80 swhen there was a greater demand for action.
It may have fared better earlier in the decade or in the 70s. A few episodes have been uploaded on YouTube. There have been a number of VHS releases and merchandise.

P.C. Pinkerton lives with his charming family in the eventful town of Cleybourne where the friendly home beat officer finds himself dealing with all sorts of local incidents - from catching a 'cat' burglar from choosing a new police puppy.
